Taxicab coupon books
Seniors in the Township are able to purchase discounted taxi cab coupons. Purchase a book of coupons for $10.00 and receive $20 in taxi fare. Coupons must be used with contracted cab company provided: Bob Fallot 773-297-2699 (Contact Bob for route info)
Meals on Wheels
Norwood Park Township helps fund the Meals on Wheels program for seniors at the Seniors Assistance Center located at: 7774 W. Irving Park Rd. Norridge, IL 60706. Phone 708-456-7979

The Norwood Park Township Enrichment Program took place in August 2021 for 1st - 8th grade Norwood Park Township students. The classes varied from physical fitness, arts, entrepreneurship, money management, STEM, and a valuable lesson about giving back to others.

The primary goal of Township General Assistance is to move people back into employment. An important function of township government is to provide general assistance to township residents who are going through a financial hardship. Assistance is designed to be a safety net after all other resources have been exhausted.

Repurpose / donate your old cell phone
Norwood Park Township residents can donate your old cell phone. Don't throw away your old cell phones or let them sit in a drawer. Your unused cell phone can be a lifesaver for a senior citizen.
PLEASE BRING ANY OLD CELL PHONES TO THE TOWNSHIP
* Phones should be deactivated & all personal information should be removed prior to being donated
Prescription Drug Take back program
Norwood Park Township residents can safely dispose of their unwanted medicines by bringing them to the collection box located at our township office.
* No Liquid pharmaceutical drugs or loose pharmaceutical are accepted. Call for additional information.

Seniors Assistance Center
The Seniors Assistance Center (SAC) is a non-profit organization that supports the 60 and over population with services and programs. Their mission is to provide for the needs of older adults, 60 and over, and individuals with disabilities, to assist them in maintaining a meaningful, dignified, and quality lifestyle both on a short-term and long-term basis. SAC provides home delivered meals, low-income energy assistance, enrollment in benefits programs, congregate meals, health seminars, cultural events, and much more. Seniors Assistance Center
Seniors Assistance Center is an approved Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA) partner intake site. Residents can apply for heating and electric assistance through LIHEAP. Applications are completed by appointment only. If you reside in Norridge, Harwood Heights, or Unincorporated Norwood Park Township, call the Seniors Assistance Center to schedule an appointment at 708-456-7979.
